The Start of a new Year .....

Hi There,

Why is it that after all the excitement of Christmas and the beginning of the 'New Year' I find it so
hard to get myself going in January ?? So .. when I found the undernoted funny videos I just had to post them here...... ENJOY !

I also found this next little gem .......

The Angel was astounded at the request for this one kind of person ....“Six pairs of hands! No way!” said the Angel. God replied, “Oh, it’s not the hands that are the problem. It’s the three pairs of eyes that mothers must have!” “And that’s on the standard type?” the Angel asked. God nodded in agreement, “Yep, one pair of eyes are to see through the closed door as she asks her children what they are doing even though she already knows. Another pair in the back of her head are to see what she needs to know even though no one thinks she can. And the third pair are here in the front of her head. They are for looking at an errant child and saying that she understands and loves him or her without even saying a word.” The Angel tried to stop the Lord “This is too much work for one day. Wait until tomorrow to finish.” “But I can’t!” God protested, “I am so near to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart. She already heals herself when she is sick AND can feed a family of six on a pound of hamburger and can get a nine old to stand in the shower.”The Angel moved closer and touched the woman, “But you have made her so soft, God”“She is soft,” the God agreed, “but I have also made her tough. You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish.”“Will she be able to think?” asked the Angel. God replied, “Not only will she be able to think, she will be able to reason, and negotiate.”The Angel then noticed something and reached out and touched the woman’s cheek. “Oops, it looks like You have a leak with this model. I told You that You were trying to put too much into this one.”“That’s not a leak.” the Lord objected. “That’s a tear!”“What’s the tear for?” the Angel asked. God said, “The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her disappointment, her pain, her loneliness, her grief, and her pride.”

The Angel was impressed. “You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything for this one. You even created the tear!” God looked at the Angel, smiled and said, “I’m afraid you are wrong again. I created the woman, but she created the tear!” Awwwwww .......

I FOUND A PENNY TODAY ...

I found a penny today Just laying on the ground But it’s not just a penny this little coin I’ve found. Found pennies come from Heaven That’s what my Grandpa told me,He said, “Angels toss them down.” Oh, how I loved that story. He said, “When an angel misses you They toss a penny down, Sometimes just to cheer you up To make a smile out of your frown.”We all have angels looking over us,no matter how young or old we might be. Maybe that penny laying on the floor was put there specially. So don’t pass by that penny When you’re feeling blue,It may be a penny from Heaven That an Angel has tossed to you. The Writing on the Wall ...

A weary mother returned from the store, Lugging groceries through the kitchen door.Awaiting her arrival was her 8 year old son, Anxious to relate what his younger brother had done. While I was out playing and Dad was on a call, T.J. took his crayons and wrote on the wall It's on the new paper you just hung in the den. I told him you'd be mad at having to do it again.

She let out a moan and furrowed her brow.Where is your little brother right now? She emptied her arms and with a purposeful stride, She marched to his closet where he had gone to hide. She called his full name as she entered his room. He trembled with fear--he knew that meant doom For the next ten minutes, she ranted and raved about the expensive wallpaper and how she had saved. Lamenting all the work it would take to repair, She condemned his actions and total lack of care. The more she scolded, the madder she got, then stomped from his room, totally distraught She headed for the den to confirm her fears.

When she saw the wall, her eyes flooded with tears. The message she read pierced her soul with a dart. It said, I love Mommy, surrounded by a heart. Well, the wallpaper remained, just as she found it - With an empty picture frame hung to surround it.
A reminder to her, and indeed to all, Take time to read the handwriting on the wall.

Childhood Doesn't Wait ...

I was sitting on a bench while in a nearby Mall, when I noticed a young mother with two children who were small - the youngest one was whining "Pick me up," I heard him beg. But the mother's face grew angry as the child clung to her leg. "Don't hang on me" she shouted as she pushed his hands away, I wish I'd had the courage to go up to her and say..."

"The time will come too quickly when those little arms that tug, won't ask you to hold them or won't freely give a hug". The day will sneak up subtly, just as it did with me, when you can't recall the last time that your child sat upon your knee". Like those sacred pre-dawn feedings when we cherished time alone.

Our babies grow and leave behind those special times we've known. "So when your child comes to you with a book that you can share, or asks that you would tuck him in and help him say his prayer... when he comes to sit and chat or would like to take a walk, before you answer that you can't 'cause there's no time to talk." Remember that years go by too quickly and that childhood doesn't wait."

Take every opportunity, if one should slip away reach hard to get it back again, don't wait another day." I watched that mother walk away, her child followed near, I hope she'll pick him up before her chances disappear.

Faith ...

As a drought continued for what seemed an eternity, a small community of farmers was in a quandary as to what to do. Rain was important to keep their crops healthy and sustain the way of life of the townspeople.

As the problem became more acute, a local pastor called a prayer meeting to ask for rain.

Many people arrived. The pastor greeted most of them as they filed in. As he walked to the front of the church to officially begin the meeting he noticed most people were chatting across the aisles and socializing with friends. When he reached the front his thoughts were on quieting the attendees and starting the meeting.

His eyes scanned the crowd as he asked for quiet. He noticed an eleven year-old girl sitting quietly in the front row. Her face was beaming with excitement. Next to her, poised and ready for use, was a bright red umbrella. The little girl's beauty and innocence made the pastor smile as he realized how much faith she possessed. No one else in the congregation had brought an umbrella.

All came to pray for rain, but the little girl had come expecting God to answer...
