Words of ignorance then sense ...

Hi There,

I was watching  'Question Time'  the other night,  it had been filmed in Lancaster, England and was rather angry at the applause ...  I later saw this clip which had been added to Facebook ......

" If a Scottish audience had laughed and applauded the suggestion of dumping nuclear waste in England there would have been a BritNat media outcry of white-knuckled indignation. The cries of 'racists' and the typical suggestion of where to go and what to do with yourselves would have been roaring across the airwaves for a day and an evening and maybe even a day or so more at most, then forgotten.

The point is that these people are not racists but are, like most people, subject to the onslaught of British nationalist media -- tell people the Scots are ungrateful, impoverished whelks that aren't grateful enough to the English tax-payer and to boot also have special treatment is a useful tool with which to manipulate people.

Scotland pays more than its way, is actually economically coming out of recession and is offering up a model of a decent centre-left society which England can copy if it sees what can be achieved with it. That decent society actually has a logical basis unlike the 'Big Society' which was a load of old empty nonsense from Cameron who had a good slogan with no substance. A Decent Society is a poor slogan but a far more appealing idea.

The people of England are better than this, but ironically only with Scottish independence will these folk wake up to a better society they can grab onto with both voting hands. So the applause and near thigh slapping at the suggestion of doing something hateful to the Scots is not real and is no more than brain-washing. No real hate is intended, rather the English must be feeling as though there are no political alternatives for them -- we have an alternative in Scotland -- Vote YES 2014"
There's not much more that can be added to this point ...

Some more words of wisdom.

Life is not lost by dying; life is lost minute by minute, day by dragging day, in all the thousand small uncaring ways.
Stephen Vincent Benét

People only see what they are prepared to see.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Cheers,  Kate xxx.
