More Funnies ...

Hi There,

They were together in the House. Just the two of them.

It was a cold, dark, stormy night. The storm had come quickly and each time the thunder boomed he watched her jump. She looked across the room and admired his strong appearance....and wished that he would take her in his arms, comfort her and protect her from the storm.

Suddenly, with a pop, the power went out.... She screamed. He raced to the sofa where she was cowering.
He didn't hesitate to pull her into his arms. He knew this was a forbidden union and expected her to pull back.
He was surprised when she didn't resist but instead clung to him.

The storm raged on.... They knew it was wrong...

Their families would never understand...
So consumed were they in their FEAR that they heard no opening of doors... just the faint click of a camera.......

OOOpppsss !!!

Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know - and we take responsibility for all we have done and do not blame others.

HOWEVER,
upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was NOT the senior citizens who took:

The
melody out of music,
The
pride out of appearance,
The
courtesy out of driving,
The
romance out of love,
The
commitment out of marriage,
The
responsibility out of parenthood,
The
togetherness out of the family,
The
learning out of education,
The
service out of patriotism,
The
Golden Rule from rulers,
The
nativity scene out of cities,
The
civility out of behavior,
The
refinement out of language,
The
dedication out of employment,
The
prudence out of spending,
The
ambition out of achievement or
The spirit of God
out of government and school.

And we certainly are NOT the ones who eliminated patience and tolerance from personal relationships and interactions with others!

And, we do understand the meaning of patriotism, and remember those who have fought and died for our country.
Just look at the Seniors with tears in their eyes and pride in their hearts as they stand at attention with their head bowed at the Cenotaph.

YES, I'M A SENIOR CITIZEN!
I'm the life of the party even if it lasts until 8 p.m.
I'm very good at opening childproof caps.. with a hammer.
I'm awake many hours before my body allows me to get up.
I'm smiling all the time because I can't hear a thing you're saying.
I'm sure everything I can't find is in a safe secure place, somewhere.
I'm wrinkled, saggy, lumpy, and that's just my left leg.
I'm beginning to realize that aging is not for wimps.

Yes, I'm a SENIOR CITIZEN and I think I am having the time of my life! Now if I could only remember who sent this to me, I wouldn't send it back to them, but I would send it to many more too!

Spread the laughter Share the cheer !
Let's be happy While we're here!

Kate, I have tears rolling down my face from that video it's so funny.

Do you have the snow I keep seeing on the news? I am wondering how long it will take to get down to us.

Hi lom, yeah we sure do ! arrrgggh! can you imagine traipsing up and down the stairs to deposit the usual acoutraments to the car (and ours are very steep stairs) humping two elbow crutches and a walking thingy and shopping trolley then walking backwards giving a hand to Rob who is unsteady on the flat never mind stairs !! The other day the nurse nearly went headlong herself!

The sooner we get a new handrail the better - we got a letter from the folk that deal with such things saying that as their is a waiting list we will have to put up with the old one for another while. Bloody councils...

It's a complete white out here and we are in the midst of getting our Bathroom done (only another 2 days to go till they're finished). Good job we have the car 'cos I don't think I would attempt to go out - just phone my daughter in law to ask if she can collect something for me...

Happy new bathroom, we think we have stopped our bath from moving with the aid of great lumps of wood!

Hubby is the same, if he has to stay in it drives him mad, and there's no way at all he will stay in alone if I go out, as for me I love the piece and quiet heehee.

Take care
